What Would You Love?

I was asked this question when first learning the coaching principals that I teach today.

Looking at the four areas of my life: Health, Relationships, Career, and Free Time I realized that I had been creating the same results day after day, month after month, and year after year.

I had great ideas but let limiting beliefs of fear prevent me from taking action so they remained just that, great ideas. I later learned that these ideas are our genius seeking to express itself through us. In reality, we are all potential geniuses with our own unique gifts that we are meant to share with the world. We just get derailed through the conditioning of our past.

My first task when examining the question ”What would I Love”, was to craft a crystal clear vision in the present tense as if it had already happened using all of my senses. What would it feel like? Who was I with? What would it look like? I had to surrender the “How” it would happen. Building my clarity muscle took time, but eventually the more I practiced, the better I became. You see we are rarely asked as adults to imagine or dream anymore, but this is where our creative power lies. In other words, we get out of our analytical mind and move into our source of creativity.

However, the past had a very strong gravitational pull on me. When I would try to move forward, there seemed to be an unlimited number of “becauses” that kept coming up.

“ I can’t have that because…”

“ That will never work because…”

“I don’t have the skills because…”

and on and on it went.

I learned to return to my vision, to take myself out of those limiting beliefs. Then, to ask myself “What can I do with what I have to move in the direction of my dream?”

These are powerful principals of the Dream Builder Program that I use every day to get out of my own way and live a life of higher purpose.
